------- Additional comments from gam...@openoffice.org Tue Jan 11 02:42:12 +0000 2011 ------- WordPerfect may have had its faults, but at least instead of meaningless widgets, it had a "view source" option that let you delete or move the garbage that was corrupting your layout. A document I converted from WP to Word retained its inline layout of five images, but for no intelligent reason, Writer insists on dropping the fifth below the rest and refuses to cooperate or help with rectifying the situation. The View menu gives nothing but useless options, as does the Format menu. Naturally, there is no <INPUT TYPE="FILE"> to let me show you what the problem is! That would make too much sense! I have yet to find a file that looks the same in Writer as it does in Word, and now that Office has bitten the dust for no apparent reason, I'm working blind on documents that need to look good in Word, even if I can't see them myself! --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
