------- Additional comments from do...@openoffice.org Wed Jan 12 19:36:00 +0000 2011 ------- I've just uploaded an attachment with my attempt to use the customize keyboard interface to approximate emacs key bindings. I only hope this can be made available to others through OO itself (like eclipse has an emacs key binding option). It would be nice if it were mentioned somewhere in the help, or if a search could show it. I can't believe I'm the first to take the trouble to do this, and yet I see no evidence of such a thing. Emacs mode approximation via Tools - Customize (keyboard) === Control Chars === A to line begin B to character left (=left)(why not go left?) C D (no delete command?) currently using a macro that does forward, backspace This does the wrong thing when at the end (deletes backward). E to end of line (=end) F go right (=right)(why not to character right?) G H I J K delete to end of line (doesn't kill end of line though) L M N to line below (= down) O - drat, still does open file P to top line (= up) Q R, S => find & replace T (maybe a macro can do this?) U V next page (= next) W cut X Y paste Z / undo === ALT characters === A to previous sentence B to word left C D delete to end of word E to next sentence F to word right G H I J K delete to end of sentence L M N O P Q R S T U V previous page W X Y Z === top of wish list === - alt < , > (to start and end of document) these seem not to be custom keys; there is a 'to end of document' but no 'to beginning of document' - c-a-F,B - set mark, switch point and mark (backspace works, as does delete) --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
