When it is invoked and I have a slightly longer document, that contains no errors in, say, the first 10 pages, the spell checker dialog box shows up as an empty frame and stays so for quite a time (possibly minutes) while OOo doesn't respond anymore. This looks fairly exactly as if OOo had crashed, prompting me to kill and restart OOo. Therefore, the spell checker dialog box should be completely painted before the check starts running.
