Create a new spreadsheet with the default formatting Verdana 10 2. Into a cell, type "The quick brown fox jumped over the lazy dog" (no quotes) 3. Move cursor to another cell, then back to the cell with the phrase. 4. Select the latter half of the phrase and cut it to the clipboard 5. Move the cursor to another cell and paste the half phrase with Ctrl+V 6. The cell to which the paste goes is now formatted as Tahoma 4.6 Please forgive my earlier mistake; I thought it was Calibri, which is why I thought the source of the original copy was significant. It's now obvious that the only application involved is OO.o Calc. I will try to attach a spreadsheet demonstrating the outcome.
