User fs changed the following: What |Old value |New value ================================================================================ Status|NEW |STARTED -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Target milestone|OOo 2.0.1 |OOo Later -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Tue May 10 04:03:47 -0700 2005 ------- Ah, yes, I though the menu item is expected to start an office to create a new DB. Instead, it's expected to simply create an empty document (without invoking the application), which is difficult for Base. In theory, we could create an empty Base document, which is simply a embedded HSQLDB database. Such a document would be completely valid. However, if no Java is accessible for the application, then opening this Base document would fail, which is not what the user might expect. No other flavours of "empty" Base documents exist - we'd always need more information. TV suggested (and I like the idea) to create a document which, when opened, automatically starts the usual wizard to ask for this information. I like this idea, however, it requires substantial work. Targeting the issue to later because of this. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
