2005 -------
I run openoffice.org-1.9m101-spadmin.  Then I click "New Printer..." 
followed by "Add a printer".  I select my printer description from 
the list, and then select the correct print command line.  I use 
the default name and do not select it as my default printer.  Then 
I click Finish. 
 
The new printer appears in the printer list and then I click "Close" 
to exit.  Then I rerun spadmin and the new printer is not in the 
printer list.  Only the generic entry.
