Explorer and the download went fine.  My usual browser is Firefox, and for some
reason after downloading
it to a temp directory, unzipping the zip file and executing the setup program,
the download ran into the stated problem everytime (using Firefox). But with
Internet Explorer it went just fine the first time. Why is that?  I've never had
trouble doing downloads through Firefox before, so it surprises me that the
OpenOffice.org install is so picky about which browser is successful in the
download. "

I don't know much about downloads with firefox. Please ask at
users@openoffice.org or at related mozilla/firefox lists.
