I Forgot to add that this happens _only_ if the firewall blocks the openoffice
to reach the internet.

Il seems that the process of merging an image linked from the internet, locks
the whole program (wordprocessor) whitout forking another process and let the
user continue typing; as a result if no network is present the only solution is
to ctrl-alt-del and kill the program.

Another issiue ... in this issiue :-), is that the name reported by the firewall
is not the program name, but is a string like "xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx".
The firewall positively finds the exe (soffice.bin) but the string that is
passed to it is something not self explaining ("xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx").
