The current presentation was saved from PowerPoint 2000 (i.e. the TCM file was opened with PowerPoint 2000, the relevant slide only was conserved and it was reduced to a bare-bone document exposing the problem). I asked to check again with different versions of PowerPoint. Indeed, the document opens fine in PowerPoint 2000; PowerPoint 2002 (MS Office XP) has timing problems: the final result is OK, but the animation has inconsistent pauses, for instance at mid-line.
