------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Tue Jun 7 01:30:22 -0700 2005 ------- Yes, I did mean the status window near the spot; I'm sorry if that wasn't clear. I looked at a bit of the code, and I'm wondering if the problem is that the SalI18N_InputContext constructor doesn't allow any way to select the status window flag (mnStatusStyle) from outside--from what I can tell, it simply calls SalI18N_InputContext::SupportInputMethodStyle(), which picks what it considers the "best" style. If this is the case, would it be possible to add a method or parameter to specify the style, or perhaps check an environment variable to get the user's preferred style? For reference, I have the xim.input_style Mozilla preference set to "over-the-spot", which Mozilla converts to XIMStatusNothing (nsIMEGtkIC::GetInputStyle(), http://lxr.mozilla.org/seamonkey/source/widget/src/gtk/nsGtkIMEHelper.cpp#1232). --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
