Just scan two 8.5 x 11 BW, 300dpi pages and one color, 150dpi page into a single OOo 1.1.4 document. Save the file then export to pdf. Reopen file in Beta 2.0 and export to pdf, the resulting file size difference is obvious, even using settings as suggested.
