The fact that this change was intended doesn't make it any better.

Basically, it boils down to:
  The documents I wrote in OOo 1.x look differently in OOo 2.0.
I think there is an agreement that this is usually not acceptable.

I have dozens of specification documents which with a lot of justified
paragrapghy, and I use soft line breaks quite often. All those documents look
differently now, sometimes with funny layouts such as:

Technical                                                                      
                   note:<slb>
bla bla bla ...

That is, the paragraph contains two words, the first one is at the very left,
and the second one at the very right. This, sorry, is weird.
