2005 -------
I have installed font "Industria" into /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/Type1 according
to OpenOffice WWW documentation at
http://www.openoffice.org/FAQs/fontguide.html.

The files were pfb + afm. According to X.Org official documentation at
http://x.org/X11R6.8.2/doc/fonts2.html, I did mkfontscale . and mkfontdir . in
the /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/Type1 directory and also run the fc-cache command.
Then I restarted the X server.

Both GIMP and Sodipodi (http://www.sodipodi.com) presented the font in font list
and displayed it correctly. However OpenOffice presented the font in list, but
when font of a piece of selected text was changed to "Industria", the text
disappeared completely (started to occupy zero space). I tried "aaaaabbBBBccccc"
and setting bbBBB to Industria - it completely disappeared to form aaaaaccccc.
The cursor also disappeared when moving over the disappeared text.
