------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Mon Jun 13 20:24:21 -0700 2005 ------- More tests---this time on Win2000: There are three ways to set numbering: Tools-->oulinenumbering, Format-->bullets and numbering, and the icon on the toolbar. I'll call them "tools", "format", and "icon" 1. Set up an outline with tools--works fine 2. Look in format and see that it thinks outline numbering is doing something totally different than what was set in 1. 3. Use format to try and change the behaviour---this ADDS a new set of numbers--keeping the old. Yuck: Undo 4. Out of curiousity, toggle the icon: this first cancels all the numbering. toggle again and a NEW numbering scheme appears. Go to format and nothing is highlighted which matches what we now have. Go to tools and--you guessed it--it still thinks the setup is what we did in step 1. Bottom Line: A. something is REALLY screwed up. B. You can get by if you just remember to use tools and dont tocuh anything else, but C. God help the newbie who stumbles in from MSOffice land. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
