2005 -------
Because of this whole issue, I have recently made far more experiments with
using sections than I have done in the last few years that I have been using
Star/Open Office! ;-) And both "cloph" and Jonathon Coombes have enlightened
me in several respects. Thanks to both!
Now I am not sure as to the advantages of inserting a "new section" button in
"Format|Sections" window... So I am willing to ask for the removal of my
original "enhancement" request issue.

Nevertheless, I still feel that the handling of sections is tricky as
implemented, for the "low-power" or "casual" user of OOo. Also, the whole idea
for the inclusion of its concept in OOo fails me.
In order to put an end to this whole thread, I would just ask anyone
interested in the issue to have a look at the 2 new files I will attach.
They represent the same information formatted in "columnar" view: one uses
sections and frames, the other file uses frames only.
I could not reproduce the view using sections only, by using the hierarchical
handling of sections that OOo provides. Is it possible? Also, are there any
advantages of using sections? Why not use frames, only?
Many thanks.
José
