The idea is to make possible copying formatted text. For example I have a big document and I want to copy some fragments located in many parts of this document. Now I can mark it and copy, but it is easy to unmark marked texts and then a I have to start marking from the beginning. The point is to make possible to change the colour of interesting fragments and then choose option "copy text in red".
