For simple DBs this approch is enough for many users respectively applications and ... also not all users are familiar with Calc Designers of complex DBs need the power of Calc to outline, building subtotals, for analysis (logical, numerical, graphical, ...). Today the only possible way to achieve this is to write a macro to read the result of a query to Calc.
