Thanks for the hint to test for the "modifying author" first. This is absolutely necessary. Concering the template positioning, I suggest that a macro will do the job much more reliable than the likeley default setting in OOo 1.1. This was common agreement between me and the user experience design team. Sure, it is a trade-off, but its all I can offer for OOo 2.01. BTW We have engineering commitment for i33307, i43146, i50902.
