When opened in OpenOffice, the long table (which starts on page 1) gets truncated as it tries to flow onto page 2. MS Word opens the same document and has 5 pages to it. OpenOffice opens it with only 2 pages with the second page being blank. I think this bug may relate to 7791, but there is also mention in 7791 that the problem would be fixed in OpenOffice 2.0 by implementing page breaks.
