SBA:This works for me (Build 1.9.112): The default language is set to English
(US) and a new document has this language applied.
Please note:
(1) It is not "a dictionary" linked to the office, but it depends on the
character attribute "language" (see format-character-font) what dictionary is
used for spell check.
(2) A a copy-paste from another document may bring the character attribute [i.e.
language = none] into a document that has another default language set.
Please re-verify your findings in a younger build (see
http://download.openoffice.org/680/index.html for the latest)
If you can reproduce this, then please reopen and tell what language was set in
your system and where you got the OOo build from. Thank you.
