At least I've been unable to reproduce the problem after more than an hour with all the sure-fire ways that used to glitch the display so quickly. Looking good now. Thanks! For the record, this is with an integrated Intel 82845 G/GL/GE/PE/GV Graphics Controller with 64mb RAM. The old driver was dated 7/1/2004 (6.14.10.3865); the new one is dated 9/30/2004 (6.14.10.3924).
