Now I found out what the problem is: It's the stylist window not getting the
focus back again.

* If I select an object with a different style the stylist window does not react
to this change unless I explicitly click on the stylist's window title. Then it
gets the window focus and correctly displays the selected style. IMHO, the
stylist should also reflect the style chang without having an explicit window
focus - otherwise I would always have to do additional clicks when I select an
object.
* I usually keep the stylist docked to the right hand side of my impress area.
In the 'docked' status, the trick with focusing the window does not work at all.
That's the reason why object/style changes are *never* reflected in the stylist
when it is docked (even 'F11-ing' it off and on again does not create an update
in the stylist's list display)

So essentially the stylist works - it just needs the correct trigger without the
necessecity to explicitly focus the window.
