I have tested this on Oo 1.9.113 on WinXP and Oo 1.1 on Ubuntu Linux.

Ctrl-backspace, as implemented, deletes a word and then places the cursor at the
end of the word before.

The correct implementation, as displayed by Word and Emacs and Vim, is to delete
the word, and place the cursor one space beyond the word before it so that the
user can begin typing the replacement immediately.
