A little bit more evalution by QA would be really nice.
E.g. the question on which platform this happens is a good start. Unix or
Windows? I haven't been able to reproduce the problem with 680m114 on UNX and
WIN, even though the fonts are installed.
It looks that only the "Doulos SIL" parts of the PDF export have the problem.
This font is very interesting. I guess it is a font embedding problem: The
display already uses the "format 12" CMAP subtable of the font, whereas the font
embedding still uses the "format 4 CMAP 3.1 subtable". Maybe if the font
subsetter learned to do its thing for format 12 things would work. Still
analyzing...
