------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Mon Jul 25 14:26:44 -0700 2005 ------- When opening a document as read-only, you can traditionally make changes right away, if you try to save them, it will prompt you to "Save As", but you can do live editing in read only mode. When we open a document with mail merge fields in it that is read only, we cannot make any modifications to those fields w/o first opening it as an editable version. See attached screenshots for error messages about lack of permissions.
