OpenOffice.org 1.9.118

Reloading (via file->reload) a document where the template has changed does not
properly apply changed styles. File->close and then File->open works as normal.

I've explicitly tried this on Windows and Linux versions but no others, so I'm
generalising a bit putting "all" in the OS and platform fields, but I couldn't
see a way to put multiple OSs.

To replicate:

1) Create a template and save it somewhere in the template path.

2) Create a document based on the new template and put some text in it. Save it
somewhere.

3) If using windows, exit all OOo windows and the quickstarter. It seems you
need to do this whenever you create a new template for the Windows version to
get to the point where it will notice changes in the templatea at all. Maybe
this point should be another issue as well?

3a) If you had to close all windows in (3), open the document you created in
(1).

4) Edit the template, change the font of the "default" style and save it.

5) In the document (from (1)) window, choose file->reload. You will be asked if
you want to update styles from the changed template - say yes.

6) You will briefly see the styles change to those in the edited template (i.e.
the text you typed will change to the new font you chose in (4)), before
reverting to their pre-template-change settings.

7) You can work around this by opening and closing the document in the usual
fashion.

Colin.
