------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Wed Jul 27 05:33:34 -0700 2005 ------- I am using a suse9.3 with an english keyboard writing an german test. I figured that suse configured the compose behaviour to press shift+ctrl, then the modifier (e.g. ") then the letter (e.g. u) to get an composed character (in this case ü). It works in all the apps, only OO decides to do it different :(. So I looked it up in the help and did export SAL_ALTGR_COMPOSE=1 xmodmap -e "keysym Alt_R = Mode_switch" and restarted oowriter. to no avail still get "u instead of ü. Okay do it the hard way, usign the table of special chars. Arghhh! * 1st that window can't be resiized (never ever create unresizable windows if tehre is something in there that need to be scrolled!) * 2nd the list content onlz updates when one release the scroll-knob * 3rd the widnow is modal, means I have to open/close it for every special char verdict: 100% unusable. sorry if I sound upset, but this is way under the usualy quality level of you product. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
