To reproduce this problem:

1. Start Writer
2. Open drawing toolbar (with "View-Toolbars-Drawing" or "Show Draw Functions"
button on standard bar"
3. Open "Basic Shapes" sub-toolbar on drawing toolbar
4. Let "Basic Shapes" sub-toolbar float.
5. Select "Rectangle" function on "Basic Shapes" toolbar with mouse and draw a
rectangle
6. Now select "Ellipse" function on "Basic Shapes" toolbar with a SINGLE mouse
click
=> The "Ellipse" function is not selected, if you click another time on the
button the function is selected.
If you click once into the document and try to click on different button in the
"Basic Shapes" toolbar, you can see that only on the second click the function
is selected. The "Formatting" and "Drawing Object" toolbar are switching when
you click.

Very strange and annoying behavior which cannot be seen with Draw/Impress.
