------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Fri Aug 5 02:28:18 -0700 2005 ------- The previous patch adds the thing I was *really* trying to get working, which is restoring OOo to the workspace it was saved from, e.g. 2nd, when logging back in with metacity. metacity currently matches the splashscreen on login and restores the splashscreen to the original workspace and then puts the next toplevel window on the 1st workspace. Using a role for the splashscreen windows will make metacity not match splashscreens as the toplevel windows, alternatively adding -nologo to the restore command would do the same thing.
