------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Mon Aug 15 15:27:45 -0700 2005 ------- If a user tries to reset the default application, on an NT box, using OpenWith -> "Always use this program to open this type of file", they will run into the strange issue of being unable to double click to open a file with spaces in its name. If the target file has spaces in its name you will get multiple error messages, each one saying that the file does not exist and each one with one of the words in the spaced name as its filename In other words it parses the name into sepperate filenames as if there are now many files instead of just the one. Apparently, once you install OpenOffice this same parsing problem will happen if you ever try to use "OpenWith"->Microsoft Word (Excel, etc) [independent of whether or not you are trying to make Microsoft the default application] I know that you can unset OpenOffice as the default by other methods, but some of my users have done it using this route and ran into this strange error that I felt was worthy to report. Any help into this matter would be greatly appreciated.
