------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Tue Aug 16 11:42:19 -0700 2005 ------- Most X11 applications (using the Qt, GTK, and Motif toolkits) have converged on common operation of the middle-mouse button with scrollbars: it moves the scrollbar to the clicked position. For example, if the scrollbar is positioned at the bottom, and the user middle-clicks at the top of the scrolling area, the scrollbar immediately goes to the top (like Ctrl-Home). Likewise, middle-clicking at the bottom immediately goes to the bottom (like Ctrl-End), and middle-clicking in the middle moves to the middle. OOo (up to 1.9.112 in the RPM tarballs from the OOo site) does not exhibit this behaviour. This is a valuable feature when dealing with large documents; without it, there appears to be no direct way to jump to a given point without using the keyboard. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
