You don't need the tunnel to checkout the sources.
You only need the ssh-key when you want commit-access to the Repository.
You will have to sign the JCA (and send in the original) to be granted access.
In any case testproduct is the wrong component, reassigning.
Please indicate when you sent the JCA for further processing of the issue.
Please also ask one of the project-leads of the modules you intend to work on to
"approve" your request for write access.
