as reporter, I attaching a simple file that can reproduce the behavior (at least
here).

using my file, try to hide any row (1, 2 or 3) and you'll see that chart will
lost the columns.

In my first case, I was using data from a DataPilot (from a native query). My
intent was to leave just the "buttons" that trigger the DataPilot update and
hide all data from Sheet1 (all my 3 charts are in Sheet2). But when I hide the
data from Sheet1 the charts from Sheet2 loses all columns.

I hope my file can help you to reproduce.
