------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Wed Aug 17 23:12:54 -0700 2005 ------- OpenOffice.org 1.9.x you can insert the page number field as Arabic letters rather than as numbers. This is great, but it uses the wrong alphabet order. When you use Arabic numbers in the same way that in English we use Roman numerals (such as to number items in a list), you don't use the regular alphabetic order: alif baa' taa' thaa' jiim... Rather, you use the "abjad hawwaz" order: alif baa' jiim daal haa'... I posted a query on Arabeyes.org about this issue, and the one response i got concurred with me. The responder provided the entire "abgad hawwaz" mnemonic: abjad hawwaz HuTTi kalaman sa'faS qarashat thakhadh DaZagh OOo is currently using the regular alphabetic order. It should be changed to use the "abjad hawwaz" order. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
