I don't say you should remove the current stuff but you should also honour if the plugin is in the global mozilla dir. Think of a system administrator which wants the plugin enabled for all users without needing to create a link in all users' .mozilla... /etc/skel is no way, especially not if you already have users... I tried to do a patch but I have no idea how to disable the configuration. I'd have done a patch to not show Internet -> Mozilla Plug-In if the link in the system location is found or not found at all and show it if you have the "normal OOo" way. If you don't want to fix it yourself you can just give me a hint how to do that so I can do that myself... If I don't do it you will complain that packages are broken because that option is senseless since the plugin will be enabled anyway.
