2005 -------
In fact, they're at least two problems, with one fixed, while second is pending :

Note : JMF installed in home dir, and Classpath (jmf.jar archive) added in
OOo.

1)Using Gallery, after installing the JMF

Process : tools->gallery->"sounds"->double click one of the shown notes

Results :
Panther (Mac OS X 10.3) :
tools->gallery->"sounds"->double click on one of the shown notes->media player
opens and you hear nothing

Tiger :
tools->gallery->"sounds"->double click on one of the shown notes->media player
opens and you hear nothing

And crash is not far, because a recovery box ask you if you want to
automatically restart OOo :-/

*BUT* : waiting a click to confirm, you can play with JMF and hear sound. So
sound works.

Starting in a term, the problem appears immediatly :
2005-08-25 22:04:56.852 soffice.bin[26636] Apple AWT Java VM was loaded on first
thread -- can't start AWT.
sh: line 1: crash_report: command not found

...etc

Looks like this is exactly the same problem as the one we have with old
WebWizard and still with BeanShell ( see #i47888# )

Part 2) Using Impress :

Note : tests proceed with Tiger only

We can hear sound while presentation is created (just double click must not be
too slow)

Sound can be reproduced before insertion :

a)create a new presentation, with several parts (plan, image, title for
example).
b) select one of them and right click to add an interaction, the image here.
Choose sound, for example laser. (choose .wav file type)
c)Click "reproduce" -> "stop" appears, and *you must* click again to reproduce
again the sound.

Last but not least, sound works perfectly in a presentation. ( Ufff... )

Video : insert a video -> OOo freezes (probably AWT infinite loop ).
I have not verified more with movie. Only killall -9 soffice.bin stops OOo

Conclusion : looks like this issue is similar to #i47888#, waiting, sound works
if and only if JMF is installed on Mac OS X.

ericb->tra

1) How to be sure if AWT is used in JMF ? Are sources available ?
2) I prefer continue with #i47888#, and come back later with this issue
