------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Wed Aug 31 13:38:03 -0700 2005 ------- Import of Excel 5.0 files is without problems, central European characters are imported correctly. Problem is with the export to Excel 5.0 and Excel 95 formats, after reopening an exported file some central European characters are replaced with sign '?'. Export to Excel 97/2000/XP format is OK. How to reproduce the problem: 1. Open the attached 602tab.xls (it should open correctly and you should see Slovak text there exactly as in the correct_characters.pdf – I am using it for the reference (CE fonts might be needed on some systems) ) 2.“Save as” with Excel 5.0 format 3.
