I this bug is a dup, I apologise, I find OO bug searching poor. searched for
"crash save" and "crash saving" in summary.

OO 1.9.79.2 just crashed while saving a long odt document and truncated it to
some unknown file type of about 1.5K

My entire document has gone! ????

Why doesn't OO save under a different name and then rename after saving like
every other sane application under the sun?

Luckily I found it in the .openoffice*/*/backup folder or that would be 2 days
work gone converting documentation to openoffice and reformatting which would
set back OO migration at this office least 6 months.

Please lets not require a RHCE or MSCE to be able to recover documents from an
OO crash.

Sam
