When opening OO it will always open on the primary screen (laptop). when draggin the window to the secondary screen (LCD) and then performing a slide show, the slide show will open on the primary screen. I can also confirm problems with menus. In generally extended desktop, with all programs I have used up to now, works rarely 100%, there are always at least some problems with the menues. However, with most programs problems can be minimizes when a) opening the program, dragging the window to the second screen, then exiting the program. The majority of programs will, when reopened in the same session, open on the screen where they have been closed, that is here the second screen. Doing this most of the menu problems disappear. OpenOffice, however, will always open on the first screen.
