It's a good idea of course and I'm all for it.
The built-in "openoffice.org" dialog doesn't take any notice of what extension
the user might have typed.
The only problem is that the native dialog has been a world of pain and I'm
loath to risk an not originally specified enhancement without my ass being
covered.
