------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Fri Sep 9 09:43:35 -0700 2005 ------- ericb -> ssa >What if people start X11 and then type >soffice in an xterm window ? :-) Sorry, but ... please forget this idea ... Mac Users *don't wan't* to use xterm. They already hate X11... (even if they don't know exactly why) The complete problem about mod1 is described in #i49752# >The mapping will not have occured if we call it >exclusively from the AppleScript. So may be it should be moved into the soffice >script. I'll give it a try. This is more simple to add the xmodmap line in soffice script, right, but we still have to send the needed keyboard event before xmodmap is called. (I still wonder how you found it was the cause of our problems ! ) BTW, I have a suggestion : could a "non visible" command be executed in backend? Like xev or a shell script or whatever command like that ? About icons : right click on OpenOffice.org icon -> choose display package content and you'll find them in Contents/Resources subdirectory. About localized strings : I'll attach english strings as example on the following issue : <http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=42999> Reserved for this purpose. This is for the installer : default are english (en-US exactly) strings, but I already have de and fr too (Ill commit them too). Thes strings are used while the installation, when a problem occurs, to describe what is installed ...etc. About have more icons, I'm not sure that's really needed, and I really would prefer we have it for 2.0.1. For such behaviour, this time, I think a real Cocoa application would be a better choice. Can you please ask Florian ? He has written a nice one, he's presented me at LinuxTag. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
