Dear Lucio,
to clarify. I do not have any more control of this list than you. I do not
know who adminsters this list either. All I know is that we are getting spam,
and it does not take any effort to subscribe by a different name/address to
continue sending it. The archives of the list will be affected by this, but
you can always filter it on your side.
I realize this is not what you want to read, I am sorry for the bad news.

I submitted a ticket to UWash IT and have had a reply
suggesting that they have alerted the list owner "Michael".
If I get a confirmation of the correct address of the list owner
I will share it with the list.
