| Cohan makes a good point. The structures we build for gardens seldom represent our LOCAL geology. The first place I saw a planting like the one in Dave's Harlow Carr pictures was Harry Jans house in Loenen, in the Netherlands. If good fences make good neighbors, Harry had it down pat.
