Alright, I'm back. I finally got around to trying your patch to the
2.4.10 LL kernel (the 3rd buffer.c patch you posted: 1. PE, 2. broken
LL, and 3. LL in that order :). I replaced the results for test 3 on
http://www.c0nfusion.org/~josh/ with the new figures. Looking better,
still something causing some naughty spikes though. Your patch did
manage to cut back on a lot of them, which is a good thing (tm).
