I, and most of the people I know with new machines have the via686. Everyone seems to have issues. I can code and debug. I am not, however, familiar with coding any alsa driver stuff. I am offering my machine and some of my time for finding and fixing issues with the via686a. AMD 1Ghz, Kernel 2.4.14+ Can't do it without your guidance. ?
