Alsa's soundcard matrix is a collection of rows and you find the same company link in dozens of rows. In my opinion one link would be enough and a solution with bigger blocks should even decrease the big document size. I mean something like the sane matrix at http://www.mostang.com/sane/sane-backends.html Another point I'm wondering about is the dt019x driver.
