Hi,
I'm having a hard time gett
ing my trusted US-122 to run on my new notebook.
I tried it on both AV Linux 5
.0.3 and ubuntu 12.04. On both, the behaviour is
the same:
- the US-122 is detected as US
B device;
- ALSA recognizes the the device
USX2Y either automatically or after calling
usx2yloader;
- playback is not possible;
- recording is possible but breaks
off after a short amount of time, between
nil and 1 second, either with audacit
y or arecord. Jack does not accept the
interface, either.
- after writing said small wav fil
e, arecord quits with an error message
"pcm_read ... blabla ... input/output error"
In the last few days I have been test
ing a lot, including turning the onboard
sound and/or mic off in the BIOS sett
ings, different USB ports. I'm short of
sending the notebook back b/c audio reco
rding is essential to me.
To give you an overview of the setup I in
clude the utils_also-info output. Sorry
to post all this here, but the bug tracke
r is unavailable.
