Let's see. I'm not super familiar with gmusicbrowser; I just happen
to be trying out Xubuntu on an old laptop that isn't able to run
Unity...
This is gmusicbrowser 1.1.9 that comes with Xubuntu 13.04
Settings>Audio has the gstreamer knob clicked on, output device set to
alsa, advanced options/alsa device set to plughw:CARD=Interface,DEV=0
gapless is turned off, no custom pipeline is set.

started with a 44.1/16, plays fine.

clicked >>| to a 44.1/16, plays fine. moved the 44.1/16 to its end to
let it transition to the next song
transition to a 96/24, plays fine
clicked through a few more different songs.
now I clicked back through two songs, first a 96/24 and then a
44.1/16. the 44.1/16 is staticky garbled

pausing and pushing play does not resolve the problem.
clicing >>| to a 96/24 plays fine.
clicking |<< to go back to the misbehaving 44.1/16 plays fine.
I remember a previous case where it was the 96/24 that was garbled.
No data on that.
Does this help?
