The whole problem is that we have not a full documentation for the CS46xx
chips. It's a PCI DSP processor and we have only firmware (mostly not
documented) which can't drive S/PDIF output and rear outputs.

Unfortunately, it's very difficult to obtain a proper documentation for
DSP or full-featured firmware from Cirrus Logic. I've tried it for three
or more times and I received answers like - we'll try to collect necessary
information and firmware code, but we can't give you the full DSP
specification.

So, I recommend to use another - fully open source - card like Trident,
Yamaha PCI, EMU10K1 etc...
