/proc/asound/sndstat is about OSS emulation. You can modprobe snd-pcm-oss
and snd-mixer-oss but the modules will be loaded automagically when
needed if you have /etc/modules.conf set up correctly. Don't forget to
raise the volumes and unmute the relevant channels.
